As I mentioned in my profile, I live in the same house that my daddy's daddy was born and raised in. I am proud of that. Not many people can say that these days. I feel it is an honor..
I will share with you what I know. Now being from North Carolina, the main crop then was Tobacco. When they would cure the tobacco, they would put it in a tobacco barn. The first home was just that. A tobacco barn made into a home. A one room house with the kitchen outside and of course the bathroom too.. It was built in the late 1800's and throughout the years they added on until its what it is today.

Thank you Kim. I love it too. I am glad that I have all the pictures I have of my family. I love old pictures period. I think they all can tell us a story. Hugs
